Every year Indian army recruits lakhs of young people to its different wings through different examinations. Indian Army Soldiers Nursing Assistant (M.E.R) Examination is one of them.
Eligibility: Unmarried male Indian citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible.
Age Limit: Candidates belonging to the age group of 17 to 23 years are eligible and SC/ST candidates are given 5 years relaxation in age.
Educational Qualifications: Aspiring candidates who have passed the Matriculation/equivalent examination preferably in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main are eligible to apply for the Indian Army Soldier Nursing Assistant’s MER exam.
Physical Standards:
- Height: 167 cms, relaxable for certain regions.
- Weight: 50 kg, relaxable for certain regions.
- Chest: 77/82 cm.

Indian Army Soldier Nursing Assistant’s s MER Exam 2019 Syllabus
Indian Army Soldiers Nursing Assistant’s M.E.R. Exam consists of questions from the following topics.
- General Intelligence
- Mathematical Aptitude
- General Knowledge (preliminary exam)
- Physics, Chemistry and Biology (mains exam)
Indian Army Nursing Written Exams
Entrance Examination (CEE) is conducted on 4th Sunday of Jan, Mar, May, July, September & November, for the recruitment of Soldiers. (Check Updates)
It comprises of the following two papers:
Paper- I: It generally comprises of questions on IQ, Numerical ability, General knowledge and current affairs.
- Duration of papers is 60 minutes.
- Total Marks 100
- Pass Marks 32
Paper-II: It generally comprises of Chemistry, Botany & Biology.
- Duration – 30 minutes.
- Marks: 150
- Pass marks-16
In addition to paper 1, Sol Nursing Assistant has to qualify in their respective paper.
